Fermentation Vessels
Fermentation Vessels, otherwise known as fermenters or FVs, have always been an essential part of even the humblest home-based operation – and they hold a pretty important role in your brewery.
These vessels are where wort is held as it ferments into beer. FVs should allow easy flushing of yeast at the end of the process.
Some might say, it’s where the magic happens!
The technology used for fermentation vessels has progressed considerably during the past 50 years. They have been hugely varied over time – almost anything that can hold liquid can be a potential fermenter!
These days, we use cylindroconical tanks as they eliminate the need to move beer while in process. This is a game changer in terms of beer quality, process times, space utilization, and production economy.
They are also easy to clean – and allow for optimized flow patterns
The key thing to note with your FVs is – by increasing your fermentation capacity, you are efficiently increasing your brewing capacity.
Your fermentation vessels are generally the most expensive part of most brewing operations. We advise our clients to consider the things that will likely be positioned in the cellar in order to design a cellar that is efficient, practical, flexible, and cost-effective.
Your Bespoke Solution
At Bespoke Brewing Solutions, we have the ability to design our fermentation vessels to meet almost any requirements.
Whatever you are imagining – we can make it a reality.
While we love to push the limits of what is possible, safety is always the priority. You can be assured our vessels are designed with the utmost safety in mind.
All Bespoke Brewing Solutions vessels and jackets are thoroughly inspected, and pressure tested to 2 times the specified operating pressures.
We do not shy away from strange aspects of tank additions! We’re talking things like tangential inlets used for certain SOPs, to glycol in/outlets mounted on the front of the vessels.
There is (almost) no limit to the bespoke design elements of our fermentation vessels.

‘Having faith in the product is so important. When I need the highest quality equipment at a reasonable cost, I know I can rely on John. Buying from overseas can present a risk. If something goes wrong, this can cause serious delays as you work with the supplier to fix them – but not with John. He was all over it.’
