After three years working with another company, helping to supply quality brewery equipment, our founder John Gonzales knew he was ready to build his own dream.
He wanted to start a company that provided completely customized brewing solutions, at a reasonable price.
He had a network of fantastic brewers – and he saw a gap in the market for this offering.
The Story Behind “Bespoke” – It’s Not Just a Name It’s a Lifestyle
While working on the very first system which John helped design, install and commission – he worked closely with the brewer.
This man happened to be a shoe aficionado.
John came to appreciate the workmanship and level of detail which were put into the design – and finally asked what brand they were. ‘They’re bespoke, of course!” the brewer replied.
John, having never used this word before, replied – ‘I have never heard of that brand?’ and some colourful language was used to mock John’s vocabulary or lack thereof.
“No mate. It means customised, tailor made for me.” and that’s how Bespoke Brewing Solutions came to be.
Sourcing Brewery Equipment – Where We Began
We have always been driven by a strong belief in our sense of community. We pride ourselves on our relationships with our clients.
Over the years, we have connected with many people. We have then worked to maintain these relationships, by continuing to help our customers at different stages of their journey.
Our first projects were in China as we wanted to prove to ourselves, and our clients, we could do this in our own backyard. Our projects have now expanded to over 15 countries and counting.
Who We Are Now
Now, we offer a full consulting service, alongside designing and manufacturing brewery equipment.
Whether it’s a large scale company like Budweiser, or a Ma and Pop company opening a small brewhouse in a regional Australian town – we work to understand the needs of the client.
They are at the centre of everything we do. Our first step is to ask – what are you trying to accomplish?
We walk through their goals and everything they want to achieve from the project. Then we brainstorm a roadmap, outlining how we will help them get there using both our products and services and linking in our contacts from around the world.
Sometimes the client has a clear idea of what they want and we just execute their orders. But for our start up clients, often they don’t even know what they want or need.
Our key value as a company is Integrity. It’s so important in this industry. We are open and honest and we don’t try to oversell. We give our clients time and provide them with several options, so they can make informed decisions.
Because each client is different! We have supplied equipment all over the world – from Germany to Vietnam, South America and the US. Often you run the gamut in terms of local contractors. Each market in each country is different – as is who you can rely upon on the ground.
For example, John set off in 2019 with 7 tradesmen to install a 500L brewery in a five-star hotel in Bangalore, India. We knew the local contractors on the ground may not be up to the task come install day – so we sent a team in, to oversee everything and walked away with a fully operational brewery for the client.
In other areas, we know the work will be outsourced to very capable local contractors, so we are less hands on.
What we are planning for the future
One of our most important goals for our business is to continue to grow our presence as an educator and ‘sharer of wisdom.’
We will strive to build relationships with new and existing craft beer lovers, by sharing the positive stories from our community – and tips of the trade.
The craft is going to keep going – but it’s going to get tougher and tougher out there. As a brewer looking to make a real mark, you need the full package to thrive. Sometimes those making the best beer don’t sell the most beer.
So we want to help not just our clients, but anyone in the industry – make your product faster, cheaper and better.
They don’t sound sexy, but COGS, profit, inventory and traceability are really important parts of your business.
Our equipment and brewery design principles are created with this in mind. We can help you build equipment that can be spread across multiple functions. We can help you increase efficiency. We can ensure you have the best process flow possible.
And we’re not precious about who we share this information with. If you stay across our website and social channels, you’ll see we share designs, diagrams and blog posts.
These are for everyone. If someone takes one of our designs to another supplier and says, ‘I want this, please build this for me’ – so be it.
Anything that helps the industry flourish, helps us.

Bespoke Brewing Solutions is a brand/division which resides under several current legal entities in China, Hong Kong, USA and Australia.
However, we are excited to announce Bespoke Distilling Solutions will be launched soon – and it will sit underneath our overarching brand, Bespoke Solutions Global.
